Hey! I'm Janie
I know exactly how you're feeling right now when it comes to designing your website.
Not so long ago, I was the person floundering around with social media to promote my business, hoping something would click.
To be honest, I was nervous to create a website, and I wondered how on earth I was supposed to build a professional website, with no tech background and no designer on speed dial to help me figure it out.

I didn't let those doubts stop me. I needed a website. So I taught myself how to build one.
I don't come from a design background either. I came from exactly where you are right now: someone who needed a website for my business. So I put on my big girl pants and figured out how to make Wix actually work for me and my business needs.
What happened next kinda surprised me!
I discovered I loved the web-building process, especially using Wix as a no-nonsense, easy-to-use platform.
The problem-solving, the creativity, and the satisfaction of seeing something go from a blank page to a finished site that looked genuinely professional.
I got pretty good at it, and quickly, then people started noticing.
So, I turned it into a business. And now I do for other people what I once had to do for myself. The best part? You get to skip the learning curve and the late nights, and go straight to the exciting bit: a website you're proud of.

I work with busy professionals who are excellent at their job, but don't have time to become a web designer too.
Freelancers, coaches, consultants, creatives, local business owners, the common thread isn't the industry you work in, It's that you've been putting the website off for months (sometimes longer)

I once had a client who had been working on her website for a whole year!
I took over the web build, and it was done in a month.
You know it's costing you in the long run. What you need is someone you can trust to take it off your plate and do it properly.
That's where I come in. I ask all the right questions upfront, and once I've got your brief, I get stuck into the design immediately. You won't be chased for decisions every five minutes, but you won't be left wondering what's happening either. You'll get regular updates and strategic feedback opportunities throughout the website building process.

A little bit about the designer
Hey, that's me, Janie!
I'm based in the North East of England, and I run Janie Rae Web Design completely solo, which means when you work with me, you're working with me. Not a junior, not an outsourced team. Just one person who genuinely invests in making your web design project come to life.
When I'm not designing websites, you'll probably find me exploring the best that the North East has to offer! Great food, hidden gems, and mini adventures.
(I also run a little Instagram account called cannydates for that side of my life. If you're local, you might want to give it a follow!)

When I'm not out exploring the North East, I'm either pottering in my garden or jumping on a flight!
I love being out in nature, and my garden is like a little sanctuary. I'm currently experimenting with a new flower patch and forever trying to grow veggies!

Travelling is my other passion. I used to be cabin crew, and I've visited over 60 countries. In fact, the most common question I get asked now is, "So where are you off to next?"
